Oh, What I Would Do For A Turkey Sandwich!

We went to Stephen's parents for Thanksgiving, so there are no leftovers at our house, and I so wish I had a couple of slices of warm turkey on a piece of soft white bread that has generous portions of mayo on it (sorry Ab, I know you want to gag!). I did get a sandwich before we left Ft. Smith, but oh how I wish I could have more. I know I could go buy a turkey and make my own "leftovers" but it just wouldn't be the same.
If you know me at all you know I love to shop! Friday morning Stephen and I left the kids with his parents and went shopping. We went to 5 different stores and bought-get this-2 gifts! And we bought them at the same store. Where has my shopping stamina gone? We went to Kohl's and the line to check out was at least an hour and a half long, we turned around and went out of the store after spending 10 minutes looking for a parking place. We had a good time, don't get me wrong, spending time with my dear hubby is one of my favorite things to do!
Over the weekend we did the other Thanksgiving trek I love. The movies!!! We saw Enchanted, Anna loved it, and I didn't mind it to bad. It was awfully girly, but McDreamy was in it, so that made it better. The next night we saw Mr. Magoriams (sp) Wonder Emporium. That was a good movie and it was even rated G, what more could a parent ask for.
Well, now I need to go decorate the house. I'm not looking forward to it, because I'm not very good at it, but I'm going to do it anyway!Merry Christmas season to ya'll!

Randall also told me his desire for a turkey sandwich yesterday evening. So funny that you both were craving leftovers at about the same time!
Think "strategic placement" with the tree decorating and it will be beautiful!

well when you come to my house at christmas, you will have turkey. i had been wondering what to have and you have taken care of that. yea!!! of course there will be ot her good stuff too

Don't know if you remember me, I am Randall's aunt. I so love hearing about your kids. Between Abby and what i read on here I feel like they are mine too. Your family sounds like such a joy. Keep up the great work as a mother, pastor's wife and just a wonderful person.

julie, i am taking my niece and nephew to see mr. magorium next week....i read a review from focus on the family and they recommended it and said it didn't really have any bad words or anything.....did you like it? i mean, as far as a kiddie movie goes?? :)

8 years ago today I met this sweet man in the picture above. We met on a blind date in the Bluff City (aka- Memfrica). All Aboard The Birthday Polar Express

  Can you believe Henry Patton will be 4 years old tomorrow?! Neither can we. We celebrated his birthday last weekend with his first all boy party, polar express style. I had so much fun preparing for it, as you can probably tell! My mother who is never at a loss for words said it looked like Polar Express threw up in my house. She was SO right and we loved it! We had a breakfast pajama party with 7 three and four year old boys. It was such a fun time.   I had his pajamas monogrammed with a train and his name. He loved them and I liked how they sort of looked like the ones on the movie. Henry loved all the bells I had everywhere. There is no doubt we believe at this house. We had the jingle loud and proud!   I had his invitation made from a shop on Etsy and I was very pleased with them. One of his little friends came to the door ready for me to punch his ticket.
