A Day With No Agenda

This morning we got up, ate cereal, watched the news and then decided to head to Augusta to get garage sale stuff out of Randall's parents attic. Molly was nice enough to donate stuff to my garage sale in May. I took a picture of our bonus room after we unloaded everything. It is a real mess but I hope it will help us all be less cluttered and have a little extra change in our pockets. Today I also inherited Molly's Christmas tree that matches the one I currently have. She bought them both at the same time a few years back. She has decided she wants a smaller tree. I am most excited about having 2 of the same...1 for the den and 1 for the living room. I hate to say this but I actually may need more ornaments. I know, I know, not possible, but I actually think I will need more. Funny stuff. It gives me a small headache to think about it. I best focus on Easter eggs right now. The ole boat has made it home. Molly & I encouraged him to haul it home today as we packed up all ...

Tidbits

Here are a few tidbits from my life. ** I had the kids pictures taken today. They were so cute and acted better than they ever have. I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out, I'll be sure and share with ya'll! ** I bought a brand new pair of Arizona swim trunks for Samuel and a pair of leather Keds that looked VERY new for a total of $5.45 at my local resale store. YAY!!!! ** One of Samuel's teammates last night asked if D&D were twins. I told him yes, and then in all of his 10 year old wisdom he said "but they have different shirts on." I once again told him that they were indeed twins, even though they had different shirts on. And then another teammate in all of his 10 year old wisdom says "Duh, they're fraternal twins!" Apparently it doesn't matter about your DNA, you can tell if they are identical or fraternal twins by the clothes they have on. ** I am going to be packing for the 6 of us for next week. Stephen and I will be goi...

Random Thoughts

I was sitting here and came up with a few things I thought would be fun to share. ** David just asked Daniel if he wanted to play outside. This is how the conversation went: "David, want to go play outside?" Did you get that? David called Daniel David-his own name! I don't feel nearly as bad as I usually do when I call them the wrong name! ** My ipod has these songs/ CD's on it: WOW-the 90's disc 1 and 2 Dallas Holm -The Early Works Sanctuary-Michael English Phillips Craig and Dean-Let the Worshippers Arise Steven Curtis Chapman-All About Love Sunday!-Tree63 (what does that name mean?) 3 songs from Newworldson (who I happen to think is the funnest group right now!) David Crowder Band ** My ipod will soon have these songs on it: Chicago 17 ( I absolutely cannot wait for this!!!!) Heart from 1985 (oh, the memories) Boston-More than a Feeling (oh my goodness-the memories!!) ** I think from the above two items I am indeed a child of the 80's and might need t...

Jesus in Awesome

I was checking some blogs I like to read today and noticed that the last time we posted anything was Wednesday and that is just too long (that and Chip telling me that it had been a while!). So I shall come up with something funny and amusing to share with you. Today I was getting the kool -aid mustache off of Anna's upper lip(put plain ol ' toothpaste on a wet washcloth and rub, and it miraculously comes off-amazing!!), apparently I was rubbing a little too hard because she said "Don't rub my head off or Jesus will have to give me a new head!" She gives Jesus a lot of credit for things I'm not so sure He wants credit for. Like the other day when I told her to go to the bathroom and she told Samuel that Jesus hadn't put any poop in her. I realize that Jesus is awesome and capable of anything but Anna might just be pressing her luck there! While we are on the subject of Jesus, let me share with you about our seniors this year. Our church held a banquet for...

Adoring Hubby

Did anyone read the comments on the More Easter Pics post from the other day? If you did, you were sure to have noticed a post from anonymous. After reading and laughing out loud for a prolonged period of time, I called my "adoring" hubby. When I asked him if he had left the post he told me he didn't even know the web address to our blog, acting all smug like he didn't have the time to read our very tasteful, if not time-wasting blog. Well, it was him. And can I just say that I love that man!!! He is caring, loving, kind, dreamy, and an all-around great hubby. I know I hurt his feelings Sunday morning, so to make up for it(well, I think we all know that I will never be able to make up for it) I will wear my Easter frock(which is the little black dress from a few posts back!), my red patent leather shoes, and my cute necklace and earrings, this coming Sunday. That way I will stand out in the crowd of non-Easter dress wearers! If you are reading this adoring hubby-I lo...

A clean garage!?!

Stephen has gone to New Orleans on a mission trip and will be gone all weekend, so I decided to take advantage of this opportunity and clean out the garage. You know, since he is out of town I won't feel the need to call and ask his permission to throw something away. I know some of you looked at the picture and thought it was a "before" picture but it is most definitely an "after" picture ( I wouldn't have dared to even take a before picture!) Those of you that know me or have been to the house can attest to the fact that it is looking much better! Stephen joked at church about letting a lady park her car in our garage so that it would be in the shade, and some people-yes youDebbie!- knew that that was not going to be possible. It hasn't been a clean garage since Oct 18,2006-the day before we moved in! Now I have attempted to clean it but I have never thrown so much stuff away. I probably should have taken a picture of all the trash! We are getting new ...

Hodge Podge

Can you believe I have not talked to my sister since last Wednesday! Life is so crazy right now, but fun. I believe she is at camp this week. Poor girl. She was hoping to maybe “opt out”. I don’t think it worked out for her so well. Oh well, she will survive. We have exchanged short emails this week, but nothing replaces those daily phone calls with my big sis. This is my last day at the CWS. I may break out in the Hallelujah chorus at quitting time. Seriously. I told Rand I might even squeal my tires when I leave. That wouldn’t be to Christian though, would it? God has truly been right on time with this career transition. I start my new job on Monday and am super excited about it. I get a few days off to catch my breath before I dive into this new adventure. Rand and I are going to the river this weekend with Rick & Diana and Micah &Tabby. (This is Rand’s aunt, uncle, cousin and his fiancé, in case you are like “Who?”) I am looking forward to the getaway on Micah’s ski boat an...
