Family & a Feeling of Home

I finally got to see my Uncle Kelly! We haven't seen each other in 15 years! That is just entirely too long. When I would visit my Grandmother as a teenager I would give him great grief. Not intentionally, but just being a teenage girl with my drama. Apparently 20-something men just don't appreciate it so much!! We got to eat lunch together last Wednesday and we laughed and told stories and laughed some more. It was so great getting to see him again. Family is so important and I realized it even more when I spent time with Kelly. Stephen and I were in Gatlinburg , TN for most of last week at a conference held by Johnny Hunt, (he and his wife are the couple second from the left.) We think Johnny Hunt is a great man of God. Well, not just us but a great many people believe that. He held a conference just to encourage pastors and their wives. It was great!! Stephen and I don't normally meet new friends at these types of things, but this week we were fortunate enough to meet...

Traveling Man,Woman and Child

The man and woman traveled together They met up with all the man's work people They missed the child Last week Randall and I traveled to Minnesota for a company retreat. It was a nice change of pace. It was our first time to travel together without Henry. I willed him over to Juju for the week, after he had a brief stay with his Nana. I am so glad we have such sweet family who love our boy and take any opportunity to keep him for us. Sweetness. Juju met us and handed over the baby boy. It was a struggle to have her give him up, but she did it and we were so very glad to see his sweet face. He heard our voices and went crazy. It was precious. Juju is a good second Mama. I willed her to him as I boarded the itty-bitty plane that took us to our little resort town in Minnesota. It sort of freaked me out so I texted her and said "Raise him well and tell him we love him!" ha. After we got Henry loaded in the truck we headed to the Fort to see Marmie and the gang! Henry lov...

What we did today

Would you like to know what we did today? Of course you would!!! We headed to Little Rock to the zoo, with a stop off for a picnic lunch. Stephen stopped at KFC (which is a restaurant I try not to step foot in. Not because the food isn't good-it is good-but because I have never been in a clean KFC ), and got their chicken wings. Man were they good! They have all the spice of a hot chicken wing, but none of the mess. I highly recommend them. Just go thru the drivethru to get them. We then were off to the zoo. Anna had never been to a zoo before. She thought the zoo had clowns (she had it confused with the circus), how sad is that-she's 4. I could be a horrible mother for that. D & D hadn't been to a zoo since they were 2 and that day was a memory I don't want to ever relive! (Right Abby Jo?) So, off we go to the zoo. We weren't there 30 minutes and heard thunder. And yes, it rained and rained and rained. We got so tired of sitting in the cafe and waiting for it...
