"Quack Quack" Halloween

Henry started his Halloween morning with a spooky face! He is so silly and was so excited to get to school and see all his friends. He made pumpkin art and a pumpkin book while celebrating orange and black day with his little buddies at his school.

After school he was ready to get out to the truck. He loves Daddy's truck. In fact, he is slightly obsessed with the truck. I have a little video I will load this week of him having a fit to get in the truck. So strange. We went to Sonic for 50 cent corn dogs before trick or treating. He was happy to get a ride in the truck and we were happy to eat some cheap corn dogs...it is the simple things!

After a little stop in another neighborhood close by to visit a friend and my boss, we headed home to get our trick or treat on in a serious way! The duck went in his wagon and off we went.

We went from house to house in style...I tell ya! We all had such a fun time. I told Randall it was the most fun Halloween I have had since I was a child.

Ms. Norenda's house is always a fun stop. Her porch is decorated for every holiday and Halloween is great fun with the pumpkins talking and howling. Henry just walked right up, knocked and yelled "trick or treat". They loved our duck and filled his bucket up with all sorts of goodies. A fun fact....Ms. Norenda drives the only pink Cadillac in our town. She IS Mary Kay! We love her.

Our next stop was at Ms. Lindi's house. Henry loved her house, her pumpkins, her candy and her sweet boy, Hayden.

Hayden and Henry. Our street could be in trouble...just sayin! The cutest hunter and duck, ever. Henry walked up to Hayden's rocking chair and climbed up there with him, while sucking on his sucker the whole time. It was so sweet.

We stopped at Mr. Jim & Mrs. Sheila's and saw their teenage son, Hunter. They live directly next to us and Henry LOVES them...they are great. I failed to get a photo of that stop. We went to a few other houses on our street and had a fun time with our duck. He got lots of yummy candy and smiled all night in his costume. We then got to come home and pass out our candy to a few little friends. Precious memories were made and none of them were scary, pertained to death, goblins, ghosts or the devil. Halloween really isn't bad. It is what YOU make of it. We made it a ducky good time!

As soon we got "trick or treat" down pat we now have to start on "gobble, gobble!"

A Blind Date & Leaving Comments

8 years ago today I met this sweet man in the picture above. We met on a blind date in the Bluff City (aka- Memfrica). He and I were simply going out to shut up his stepmother and my sister, who had decided that we were meant to be together from one simple fridge photo and a dog named Abby. Little did we know they would be able to pat themselves on the back for the rest of their lives . I am so glad we both agreed to go out for that one date on New Years Eve 2001 because I have had him in my life everyday since that crazy night at my cousin Hollye's back door when he arrived to pick me up to find a baby on my hip that he thought was mine. I remember those beautiful blue eyes and how they about popped out of his head as he stood at the door wondering why no one had mentioned my child. That baby on my hip was Claire. She was 1 then and had just gone number 2 in her diaper right before he rang the bell. She had Styrofoam all over her and me from playing in Christmas boxes. Needless t

All Aboard The Birthday Polar Express

Can you believe Henry Patton will be 4 years old tomorrow?! Neither can we. We celebrated his birthday last weekend with his first all boy party, polar express style. I had so much fun preparing for it, as you can probably tell! My mother who is never at a loss for words said it looked like Polar Express threw up in my house. She was SO right and we loved it! We had a breakfast pajama party with 7 three and four year old boys. It was such a fun time.   I had his pajamas monogrammed with a train and his name. He loved them and I liked how they sort of looked like the ones on the movie. Henry loved all the bells I had everywhere. There is no doubt we believe at this house. We had the jingle loud and proud!   I had his invitation made from a shop on Etsy and I was very pleased with them. One of his little friends came to the door ready for me to punch his ticket. It was so cute. I ran to get a hole punch and punched it for him. Every good party has to have go
