Its Birthday Time!

Today my sweet little sister turns 32!

A couple of years ago I posted the following. I have added two other additions to the list to bring it to 32. Which is the number of the day (if you are a Sesame Street fan!)

Today, Saturday, is Abby's 30th birthday.
Like most of us, she is probably thinking that she hasn't become the person she thought she would be by the age of 30. So, I took it upon myself to make a list of her accomplishments as a little birthday present to her. If you think of others please leave them in the comments for us to see!
Asked Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Savior of her life
met and fell in love with the perfect man for her
married that man (hi Randall!)
planned, designed, and delegated her wedding from 5 hours away
has lived in 6 cities since graduating from high school
attended three colleges
is a member of a sorority
graduated from UCA
paid off her college loans WAY early
sang solos in church
has completed a marathon
has completed two 5K's
has more friends than can be counted
is a loving, generous sister
is a kind, giving, and loving aunt
has raised many thousands of dollars for Leukemia research
currently holds a job with the responsibility of getting the name of outstanding healthcare out to her community
has been successfully married for 51/2 years
can make a beautifully decorated cake
has great style and fashion sense
never forgets anyones birthday or anniversary
can decorate a Christmas tree more beautifully than Mrs. Claus
is a loyal and devoted sister and friend, daughter and wife
is a daughter-in-law to two mothers-in-law (now that is a fete!)
doesn't take no for an answer

has bought a home, sold it, and bought another one
has impeccable character and integrity

#31 has an adorable son named Henry!

#32 is the hostess with the mostest!

I love you Abby Jo. I know a few things on that list have changed in the last two years, but it doesn't mean you weren't a part of them, and they a part of you.

Happy 32!

Hope its been a great day!

Thanks, Sister! Yes, some things on that list have changed for the better...and you are right...I made things happen and was a part of them and no one can argue that. I appreciate you and your heart.

All Aboard The Birthday Polar Express

Can you believe Henry Patton will be 4 years old tomorrow?! Neither can we. We celebrated his birthday last weekend with his first all boy party, polar express style. I had so much fun preparing for it, as you can probably tell! My mother who is never at a loss for words said it looked like Polar Express threw up in my house. She was SO right and we loved it! We had a breakfast pajama party with 7 three and four year old boys. It was such a fun time.   I had his pajamas monogrammed with a train and his name. He loved them and I liked how they sort of looked like the ones on the movie. Henry loved all the bells I had everywhere. There is no doubt we believe at this house. We had the jingle loud and proud!   I had his invitation made from a shop on Etsy and I was very pleased with them. One of his little friends came to the door ready for me to punch his ticket. It was so cute. I ran to get a hole punch and punched it for him. Every good p...

Meet Shaun

This is my single co-worker and church friend, Shaun. He and I have so much fun bantering back and forth. He takes what I dish out and scoops it right back up and hands it back to me. He is a keeper for that and many other reasons, which I will share on this post. He was kind enough to allow me to highlight him on Kelly’s Korner http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/ for her singles link up. His last words to me about this were, “ This better not be an embarrassment! ” I trust I will do my best to make it not be, but I make no promises! The first thing you need to know about Shaun is that he loves Jesus and the Boston Red Sox . He asked Jesus into his heart at age 8 and is still seeking and serving him today at age 26. Shaun graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in digital media and design. When he is not busy creating masterpieces for our customers he is hiking, watching the Red Sox , playing basketball, horsing around at the lake or beach, and watching movies. He is fu...

Scavenger Hunt Answers

I know this is more than just my blog. But today I am going to hijack it to play in a scavenger hunt with the preachers wife and her friends. I'm going to answer some questions and hope to win!!!!!!! The Treasures 1. My name is Julie. I also go by Jules, Julia, Ju , and I will soon be called JuJu by Henry, my nephew to be! 2. I live in Arkansas and always have but have only lived in Lincoln county for three years. 3. My wonderful hubby is the Pastor of our church. How about that for a lofty title! 4. I have already answered this question in #2, but we have been at this church for three years (well, three years and 15 days!) 5. Yes, I have children. The lights of my life, the laughter in my soul, the stealers of my sanity are Samuel who is 12, David who is 8, Daniel who is 8, and Anna Kathryn who is 5. 6. We have been married for 16 years, and have lived in seven different houses. Not bad for being in the ministry! But have served at 2 churches for 5 years each! 7. I cook Sunday ...
