Brought To You By The Number 2 & The Letter H

Henry turned 2 last week and we celebrated with all his friends on Sesame Street. I bought these fun cupcakes at a local grocery store to take to his school on his birthday.

He was so excited to see them. He dove right in and took Big Bird's head off. His friends were yelling "Elmo".
It was a fun mess and everyone had fun celebrating with our Birthday boy at school.

The day after his birthday we had his party. I worked on it for a few months. I love party planning. I may not be a polished pro, but I enjoy it and that is what matters. I love that Henry is covering up his 2 on his shirt. I purchased a Sesame Street shirt so I would also be in theme. Randall declined to participate.

His party was a Sesame Street party, of course. We had it at our church in the old fellowship hall and rented a toddler bounce house. It was loads of fun.

Since "monker" and Elmo are his favorite characters on Sesame Street I made only their faces on the cupcakes. They were fun and messy to make. The children loved them.

This is how you got to Henry Street. I loved the idea of footprints of "Monker", Big Bird and Elmo. I made the balloon wreath and will use it for years to come. It is much cuter in person.

The cookies tasted as fantastic and they look. Amy from Fort Smith made them for us again this year. She is precious and a saint to mail them to us again. They were a crowd pleaser.

I used my Cricut to make the goodie bags. They had all the things Elmo and "monker" like in them...and a little play dough because a party bag is not complete without it.

Henry's gift table was full of blessings as you can see. I decorated with tissue paper pom poms in a few places. Some even had Elmo and "Monker" faces on them.

hand painted 2's and H's were everywhere and the party hats were handmade again this year. I love crafting and planning for my sweet boy!

The party table for Henry and his little friends was festive and fun. They loved their horns but did not want to wear their hats. I didn't figure they would, they just look cute on the table and that is why I made them!

Our little buddy was so excited to have his bounce house and all his best friends with him. He had so much fun.

His Daddy and I are blessed to have a healthy, happy baby boy to celebrate. He is our best blessing ever.

The bounce house was great fun. It was designed for toddlers and not your normal moon bounce you see at most parties. They adored it and we all enjoyed watching them have a fun time.

Henry and his best girl loved the slide. The giggled and giggled.

Randall was the bounce house man. He stayed in and took care of all the children. Little Addy loved the mushroom. I loved this picture.

All kinds of activity when you have a room full of toddlers. It was so enjoyable to watch them run and giggle. We have such sweet people in our lives to celebrate Henry with us.

Present opening was a fun and interesting time with a bunch of 2 year olds. I got a kick out of observing them with the gifts.

It was time to eat cupcakes and Henry had latched on to the car Piper got him and wanted nothing but that car. That boy is a spoiled mess!

Don't you just love our little Barrett in the middle of my friend Stacy's girls?! His grin is precious.

They had lots of fun eating and making a mess. We had fun watching them as you can tell!

Watch out! I thought a pinata was a good idea. I soon realized it was a crazy idea and I had to break it for the babies. They all took a turn hitting it and it was hilarious. I took photos of each of them taking a turn but decided this post was already too long....so I refrained. I love Steve moving Noah out of the way and Randall and Henry's expressions. I also love Randa, Carma Jean and Lisa's faces. It was violent trying to get that thing to break! There are several photos of me in the process of breaking it and those tooo are priceless but there is no need to post them here!

Candy!I bought a cheap candy mix at the store for the Pinata. Little did I know it was full of jaw breakers....nice! I got harassed big time.

This sweet thing went home with me for the afternoon. She and her mama came from Little Rock to celebrate with us. She, her mama, my Daddy, Connie, Babs, Uncle Joe, Nana and Papa came to our house to visit. We loved every minute of it.

Being 2 and being Henry is hard sometimes, but when you are as cute as he is, it can be overlooked!

The partying continued that evening with Barrett's 2nd birthday bash. He is Henry's best friend at church. We love him. He and Henry are polar opposites personality wise. It is so funny to watch them. He had a barn party and of course Henry had to dress in theme!

We partied hard and brought in the Big 2 with lots of smiles. Now on to thinking about next year's....nah, I will wait a bit! :)

All Aboard The Birthday Polar Express

Can you believe Henry Patton will be 4 years old tomorrow?! Neither can we. We celebrated his birthday last weekend with his first all boy party, polar express style. I had so much fun preparing for it, as you can probably tell! My mother who is never at a loss for words said it looked like Polar Express threw up in my house. She was SO right and we loved it! We had a breakfast pajama party with 7 three and four year old boys. It was such a fun time.   I had his pajamas monogrammed with a train and his name. He loved them and I liked how they sort of looked like the ones on the movie. Henry loved all the bells I had everywhere. There is no doubt we believe at this house. We had the jingle loud and proud!   I had his invitation made from a shop on Etsy and I was very pleased with them. One of his little friends came to the door ready for me to punch his ticket. It was so cute. I ran to get a hole punch and punched it for him. Every good party has to have go

Meet Shaun

This is my single co-worker and church friend, Shaun. He and I have so much fun bantering back and forth. He takes what I dish out and scoops it right back up and hands it back to me. He is a keeper for that and many other reasons, which I will share on this post. He was kind enough to allow me to highlight him on Kelly’s Korner http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/ for her singles link up. His last words to me about this were, “ This better not be an embarrassment! ” I trust I will do my best to make it not be, but I make no promises! The first thing you need to know about Shaun is that he loves Jesus and the Boston Red Sox . He asked Jesus into his heart at age 8 and is still seeking and serving him today at age 26. Shaun graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in digital media and design. When he is not busy creating masterpieces for our customers he is hiking, watching the Red Sox , playing basketball, horsing around at the lake or beach, and watching movies. He is fu

He's home!

I know you didn't know my dear husband was out of town. I decided not to post such information. I get scared enough as it is, I sure didn't want to advertise the information. Yes, you read correctly, I get scared. Before we had children, and well, even after Samuel was born, I would stay with a friend of mine when Stephen was gone overnight. When we moved from that town I didn't have anyone to stay with, so I would just sit up and watch tv all night. Fear kept me awake. Isn't that silly? Well, it didn't seem so at the time, but when I look back on it now it seems silly. That is until I have to be without a manly-man in the house. I'm telling you what, I hear every noise, sound, creak, croak. It's awful. Sunday night (the first night) while I was lying AWAKE in my bed I was praying and telling God that I knew He didn't want me to be fearful and that I knew there were many verses in the Bible that told of His being with me at nighttime . I just couldn'
