An ABC Meme

I saw this on Beth Moore's blog and thought it would be fun.

A. Age...42. How is that even possible, I feel like I'm 25. Well except for the pains and the stray hairs. In my head i'm 25.
B. Bed Size... Queen size. With a new bed frame, with wheels. I'm not so crazy about the wheels.
C.Chore that I hate...Folding clothes and putting them away. I hate dirty clothes, so I am always washing and drying, but I hate the folding and putting away.
D. Dogs...I used to love dogs. I had several growing up, the first was Max, who I don't remember, just remember stories. I had Honey, Captain, and Jojo. Loved all those sweet puppies.
E. Essential to Start your Day...Brushing my teeth. I can't stand morning breath. The first thing I do every morning is brush my teeth.
F. Favorite Color...blue. I like all shades of blue
G. Gold or Silver... Silver. It took a long time for me to get on the silver train years ago and I fear it will take me just as long to hop back on the gold train.
H. Height...My drivers license now says 5'6". Until last year it said 5'4", because when I was 15 and got my permit that's how tall I was.
I. Instruments...Not a one. I took piano lessons but they didn't "take". Gini (Walker) Laws and I carpooled to piano. Somehow her 30 minutes with Tim Hess yielded, I guess there wasn't enough left over for me.
J. Job Title...I could be cutesy and list all the things I do but instead I'll give you the simple, Wife and Mom.
K. Kids...Why yes, yes I do. Four wonderful children.
L. Live...In Pine Bluff. Never in my life did I think I would live here. Never in my whole life did I want to live here. But I really like it. I have made great friends here. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
M. Mother's name...Kathy, Betty Kathryn, Kog. I don't know how Kog came about but I adore the name. I wish I had been thinking straight and had my kids call her that.
N. Nicknames...Jules, Juju, Ju, Julesey-baby. In high school I was called Flat Butt Skutt, but that name is no longer applicable and not just because my name changed. HA!
O. Overnight Hospital Stays...With the birth of my children I had overnight stays . But thats it. I don't like hospitals!
P. Pet Peeves...Signs that have letters missing and outdated information on fliers and signs.
Q. Quote from a movie...I can never remember quotes. I do love it in My Big Fat Greek Wedding when the woman talks about her "Bibopsy". Love it. Might have to rent it today.
R. Right or Left Handed...Right handed. Isn't everyone?? HA!
S. Siblings...Yes, have you met Abby Jo? Love her so much. I also have two rarely talked about 1/2 siblings Delaney and Jessica. I'm the oldest of them all, and have no control or say in any of their lives. It shouldn't be this way, I should be the boss!!
T. Time it takes you to get ready...I would say an hour. But two Sundays ago I got in the shower at 8:45, dried, rolled my hair, ironed clothes for 4 people, got dressed and was out the door at 9:15. So maybe 30 minutes!
U. Ultimate Vacation...I think maybe a cruise. Somewhere I can just lay in the sun and eat all the time. I would like to go to New York City but I think I would need a vacation after all the walking and doing.
V. Vegetable you Hate...Beets. I don't even like to look at them.
W. What makes you run late...I think its Stephen. He doesn't have the same sense of urgency that I have.
X. Xrays...I've had them on my teeth, ankle, buttbone, and kidney stones. Yuck on the kidney stones.
Y.Yummy food that you make...My kids love Eden Isle chicken. Chicken breasts wrapped in bacon covered in cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, sour cream and cream cheese. Cook and eat. Delish!
Z. Zoo Animal...The elephant. So big, graceful, tough. It's love when I see them. I really don't like the zoo though. It's always so hot!

Ok, now it's time for you to share any letter you want to. Come on, do it. It'll be fun

All Aboard The Birthday Polar Express

Can you believe Henry Patton will be 4 years old tomorrow?! Neither can we. We celebrated his birthday last weekend with his first all boy party, polar express style. I had so much fun preparing for it, as you can probably tell! My mother who is never at a loss for words said it looked like Polar Express threw up in my house. She was SO right and we loved it! We had a breakfast pajama party with 7 three and four year old boys. It was such a fun time.   I had his pajamas monogrammed with a train and his name. He loved them and I liked how they sort of looked like the ones on the movie. Henry loved all the bells I had everywhere. There is no doubt we believe at this house. We had the jingle loud and proud!   I had his invitation made from a shop on Etsy and I was very pleased with them. One of his little friends came to the door ready for me to punch his ticket. It was so cute. I ran to get a hole punch and punched it for him. Every good party has to have go

Meet Shaun

This is my single co-worker and church friend, Shaun. He and I have so much fun bantering back and forth. He takes what I dish out and scoops it right back up and hands it back to me. He is a keeper for that and many other reasons, which I will share on this post. He was kind enough to allow me to highlight him on Kelly’s Korner http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/ for her singles link up. His last words to me about this were, “ This better not be an embarrassment! ” I trust I will do my best to make it not be, but I make no promises! The first thing you need to know about Shaun is that he loves Jesus and the Boston Red Sox . He asked Jesus into his heart at age 8 and is still seeking and serving him today at age 26. Shaun graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in digital media and design. When he is not busy creating masterpieces for our customers he is hiking, watching the Red Sox , playing basketball, horsing around at the lake or beach, and watching movies. He is fu

He's home!

I know you didn't know my dear husband was out of town. I decided not to post such information. I get scared enough as it is, I sure didn't want to advertise the information. Yes, you read correctly, I get scared. Before we had children, and well, even after Samuel was born, I would stay with a friend of mine when Stephen was gone overnight. When we moved from that town I didn't have anyone to stay with, so I would just sit up and watch tv all night. Fear kept me awake. Isn't that silly? Well, it didn't seem so at the time, but when I look back on it now it seems silly. That is until I have to be without a manly-man in the house. I'm telling you what, I hear every noise, sound, creak, croak. It's awful. Sunday night (the first night) while I was lying AWAKE in my bed I was praying and telling God that I knew He didn't want me to be fearful and that I knew there were many verses in the Bible that told of His being with me at nighttime . I just couldn'
