Matt travels A LOT, and yes... I'm still scared every single night that he is gone. I've learned that with one tylenol pm, I can still manage the kids when I need to but it helps me fall back asleep when I wake up. I think it's psychological for me more than anything... However, when he is gone for long periods of time I don't take anything for fear of getting hooked. I like to keep the cell phone by my bed as well.Matt and Joleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14496994763864162213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4589934594303361668.post-4489282921778159342009-02-06T17:43:00.000-06:002009-02-06T17:43:00.000-06:00When my husband travels, I also stay up all night ...When my husband travels, I also stay up all night watching TV. A couple of years ago he did a part-time overseas assignment (3 weeks home, 3 weeks gone) for an entire year. I was a walking zombie:) We do not have any children and had only a cat as a pet-which hears many things humans don't hear-freaky at times:) We live in the country and our neighbors are not close. Now when he travels, it is usually one week at a time. Thank you, Lord! I will take your advice and begin memorizing Bible verses too. I will pray for you!
Thanks for sharing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4589934594303361668.post-27588438078351647622009-02-05T14:41:00.000-06:002009-02-05T14:41:00.000-06:00I sure am glad to know that I'm not the only one w...I sure am glad to know that I'm not the only one who is scared when their husband is out of town. I usually curl up on the couch and watch t.v. until 3 or 4 in the morning when I cannot hold my eyes open any longer. But, I stay on the couch so that I will be the first to know if someone breaks in....smart, huh? I need to learn the verse you are learning, so do share them with me :)Melissa Southerlandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03367170158103452711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4589934594303361668.post-17381030308054589572009-02-05T09:51:00.000-06:002009-02-05T09:51:00.000-06:00I have never like staying by myself either. I eventually got used to it..but at first I was very fearful of staying alone. Having dogs in the house gives me a little comfort!

I have stayed by myself here in the boonies when Big D went to work in LA..and I wasn't fearful at all. Probably the first time ever, I guess the older I get the less I worry about it. Although I still don't like staying home without him esp. at night. I do know I could handle it now!

Next time if you're scared - just call me! I'd be glad to join you for a sleepover - I'll even bring a couple of kids with me!
